I bought “Front Row Anna Wintour: The Cool Life and Hot Times of Vogue’s Editor in Chief” a few months back at a used bookstore, but I just started reading it this week. Since I am a fashion lover, it is especially interesting to look at Anna’s path to her current position and how competitive the fashion industry can be. The biography does not contain any information from Wintour herself, but many of her friends and colleagues describe her and tell personal stories for the shocking book.
It would be easy to not like Anna, but I find her fascinating. She has always been ambitious and has turned herself into the star of the fashion world. Anna has a signature look that includes her bob hair style, sunglasses, and Chanel suits. I am just as celebrity obsessed as the rest of the world, but it is refreshing to read about a woman who made headlines by working hard and reinventing herself, even if she did use her claws. You can buy the book online at amazon.com.
