After driving a pretty full day during our move on Friday, we decided to take a break at the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro, Alabama. UBC was started by Doyle and Sue Owens in 1978 as a part time business. The original idea was to sell unclaimed airport baggage. After objects have been unclaimed for 90 days in airports, they are sold to places like UBC at a discounted price. Now the UBC has a cafe with the store, which provides a great resting area for traveling guests. Visiting the store was a fun adventure. There are many designer garments, electronics, books, small home items, and even luggage pieces.
