I just read about Gap’s ad campaign for the fall on The New York Times website. Gap has had cute commercials the last couple of years, including last year’s Audrey Hepburn-style pants, but this year, the store’s ads will appear only in print. The new campaign’s tagline is “Classics Redefined” and includes portraits shot by Annie Leibovitz. People appearing in the ads include actors Forest Whitaker and Lucy Liu, musicians John Mayer and Puffy, choreographer Twyla Tharp, and filmmaker Davis Guggenheim. I’m most excited about the clothes that the ads are hinting at-classics always look great and having some redefined versions is just what my closet needs!
